Moon Craters Space Theme Craft

We made Moon Craters Space Theme Craft with Crayola Air Dry clay. {This idea is originally from Prekinders.} The kids used bouncy balls and marbles to push into the clay to create craters. After they were dry we painted them with gray paint. I couldn’t find little flags at the craft stores so I made some by printing flags on cardstock and attaching it to a toothpick.

yay! I just did a search for moon crater air dry clay and here you are :) I was going to use plaster of paris and my husband said "um, wouldn't it be easier with light air dry clay?" This will be perfect when we study the moon next week!
