Now that January is nearly over, let’s check in and see how those New Year’s resolutions are going. Some progress but not so good? Same here. Go easy on yourself. Life is busy and it isn’t easy creating new habits and making big changes. You do have to give yourself a break and enjoy life too!

One Simple Water Drinking Tip to easily get in 68 oz of water every day

I’m not doing so well on the exercise front, but I do have a good tip to share to help you drink 8 glasses of water a day. I’m a big fan of water but I know many are not. Even though I really like water, I still have to make an effort to drink enough.

Importance of Drinking Water

We know water intake is necessary for our health since our body is composed of 60% water. Throughout the day, we lose fluids through skin evaporation, breathing, and normal body functions.

Drinking water can also help control calorie intake. If you’re drinking water, you’re not drinking sweetened high-calorie beverages. It also makes you feel full and more satisfied as you reduce food calories. Water also helps energize your muscles and keeps your skin looking great. Of course, drinking water keeps all systems functioning well.

One Simple Tip

  1. Obtain a large water container, that measures 32-34 ozs of water.
  2. Fill it as you are getting ready in the morning.
  3. By noon your goal is to drink the whole bottle.
  4. At noon, refill your bottle.
  5. Drink this container before going to bed.

Now you’ve quickly measured out your water for the day. Your goal is simple and you can easily see your progress throughout the day just by glancing at your water bottle. No more trying to remember how many glasses of water you already consumed, making lists or reasoning… Coffee counts, all that fruit has water in it..etc  You drank 68 oz of water and you’re done!

It may take some time to build up to drinking that much water if you’re not used to it. For me, it’s easy to drink 2 containers and I’m often refilling it after the daily two are gone.  I find that my body will crave it. I can drink more water at a time when it’s room temperature. If you prefer cold water, add ice cubes.

I just got up to get a glass of water after reading this! :) So thank you or the reminder. I am SO bad about my water in take but honestly it is just so much better for my overall health when I'm hydrated properly. #client
