I decorated Nutter Butters for cute treats for my child care group. Originally, the cookies were supposed to look like the last picture (on the cover of Quick Cooking Nov/Dec 03) but Damon must not have found any cookies that shape because this is what he came home with. Of course he didn’t know what I was doing with them but it worked. I made them a few years ago and thought they were so cute.
Nutter Butter Santa Cookies
To make the Nutter Butter Santa Cookies, melt white chocolate. Dip both ends into the chocolate. Sprinkle white sprinkles on for the beard and red for Santa’s hat. Add chocolate chips and a red hot candy for the rest of the details. I found it easiest to dip the chips individually into the chocolate and then press it onto the cookie. They look putsy but they go together quick and they’re very cute!
