Shape Birds Preschool Art

A fun activity for a Birds & Egg theme is creating Shape Birds Preschool Art. Depending on the age of your group, you can either provide shapes for the children to work with or draw shpaes for them to cut out.

I drew the shapes and two of the kids cut theirs out. For the other two, I cut the shapes and the child glued. They can make the scissors work but there won’t be a shape when they’re done! That’s okay too because they are working on different skills than the others.

It’s always a challenge to help each one at their level of ability. Three others didn’t make the project – two are a little young for this one and the other, well, he wasn’t interested.
