Today we learned about hedgehogs.  We learned:
Hedgehogs hibernate.
They curl into a ball to protect themselves.
They eat mice, worms and bugs.
They make nice pets.
They grunt like pigs.
Often called “hedgies”.
They have lots of spines, over 5,000.
We found pictures of baby hedgehogs on National Geographic Kids. There’s sound & video clips too which makes hedgehogs so much more real to the kids.
