The painted bowl Invitation to Create from Experience Early Learning Baby Animals theme is one of my favorite ever. It was from Day 11 Veterinarian Visit. The idea is that we care for pets by feeding them. Pets need a bowl for food and water. I felt this bowl art project was so inspired and they are displayed beautifully on our kitchen wall. Painted Bowls Preschool Art is a process art based project with impressive results.
Painted Bowls Preschool Art
Materials Needed:
- paper bowls
- liquid watercolors or thinned tempera paint
- paint brushes
- crayons
Directions:
- Draw an abstract design on the bowl with a crayon.
- Paint the area in between the lines different colors with liquid watercolors.
- Paint the bowls inside and outside. May need to allow time for them to dry before painting each side.
Photos hardly do them justice – they are beautiful works of art!
I’m so impressed with Experience Early Learning preschool curriculum for coming up with this idea, using simple materials.
The inspiration poster featuring handpainted bowls is lovely. Just the inspiration we needed!
My group became quite engaged in this project and we spent two days painting bowls.
I had to make one too.
See what beautiful Painted Bowls Preschool Art creation you can make!

Hello Stacy,
It's nice to e-meet you.
Things to Share and Remember chose my "Mexican Pottery" stock photo for its Painted Bowls preschool art inspiration image. I am looking to connect with the purchaser of the stock photo (from my collection on Istock/Getty Images). Would that be you?
First I'd like to say 'thank you' for choosing my image! I love everything about how made it work for your project! I’m doing some research for a new project and I would love to get your sense for what you liked most about the photo?
And if you would be open to sharing, I would love to know the one factor that is most important to you when picking a stock image?
Thank you for your time and feedback! Below is the link to the referenced photo.
In Gratitude, Katie Dobies
