Do your children ask you “What comes next?” in the colors of the rainbow? Do they ask you again and again and again? Mine do! 4 and 5-year olds especially seem to be interested in the order of the colors. Finally, I created this printable poster or cheat sheet for them to look at when they are drawing rainbows so they can make a rainbow independently. The Colors of the Rainbow Printable is helpful for them, for you AND it looks cute on the wall!
This week is Teacher Appreciation week. Often child care providers / early childhood education teachers are included in this celebration, but just as often, they are not. We are teachers – we TEACH & CARE ! There is a special day coming to celebrate the special job that we do. The Friday before Mother’s Day is Provider Appreciation Day. Child Care Provider Appreciation Day is a special day to recognize child care providers, teachers and other educators of young children everywhere. Enjoy this Children Color Our World FREE Printable.
Each year I like to make a printable poster celebrating the efforts of child care providers. I give it out to providers in our area at appreciation events as well as online. The poster prints 8 1/2″ x 11″. Print on cardstock and laminate it or frame it for your classroom.

I needed a 1-10 number tracing printable page so I made one. There’s many others out there with all sorts of variations like cute clipart or part of a printable pack, etc. I wanted the numbers large and easy to copy. That’s all. So here it is if you’re needing one too.
I should say I’m not a big fan of worksheets but my group needs to learn to write their numbers. They are asking me how to and they need the practice. Some can not identify their numbers yet. All of this factors in and it’s just another way to keep putting numbers out there.

Check out this cute little handmade gift! It doesn’t even take long to make. I like that children can help make these. Little hand warmers are great for small children to hold when they’re sad or when they’re falling asleep. They can be scented with essential oils for a multi-sensory comfort item. Try tucking one in a pocket for children to hold to alleviate separation anxiety. Heart hand warmers make nice little gifts for Valentine’s Day too. See the Heart Hand Warmer Tutorial with Gift Label below.

Heart Hand Warmer Tutorial with Printable Gift Label
Using a simple shape as a pattern, cut two pieces out of fabric.
Place the right sides of fabric together & sew around the shape leaving a 1/ 4″ edge. Leave a 1.5″ unsewn.
Turn right side out.
Using a funnel, fill your hand warmer with uncooked rice.
Pin the opening so it looks good and stays closed.
Using a needle and thread, sew the opening shut.
Print this printable on white cardstock and cut apart the cards. Place one card and a hand warmer in a clear bag or use the card as a tag and tie it around the hand warmer. Give away to someone who deserves warm hands!
