How to Make Leprechaun Hat Treats

1: Melt the Green Candy

  • Place green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between sessions, until fully melted.

2: Dip the Marshmallows

  • Insert a toothpick into the marshmallow.
  • Dip the marshmallow into the melted candy, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  • Dip the bottom of the marshmallow into green sugar for a decorative base.

3: Let Them Set

  • Place dipped marshmallows on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Remove the toothpicks and let them dry for 5 minutes.

4: Add the Shamrocks

  • Using a sharp knife or kitchen shears, cut small shamrocks from the rainbow Airhead strips.
  • Set aside for later decoration.

5: Assemble the Hats

  • Place Keebler cookies on a separate baking sheet.
  • Add a dollop of melted candy to each cookie’s center, then place a marshmallow on top.

Ingredients

  • Large Marshmallows
  • Keebler Mint and Fudge Cookies
  • Yellow Starburst Minis
  • Green Candy Melts/Discs
  • Green Sprinkles
  • Xtreme Airhead Rainbow Strips
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Place the green candy discs and put in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue to do this until discs are all melted.
  2. Poke a toothpick into the marshmallow and dip into the melted discs, making sure to coat the entire marshmallow. Then dip just the bottom of it into the green sprinkles and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Remove toothpicks and let dry for about 5 minutes.
  4. Cut little shamrocks out of the rainbow strip candy using a sharp knife or kitchen shears.
  5. Place the cookies on another baking sheet, put a dollop of the melted chocolate in the center, and place the marshmallows on top. Let set again for about 5 minutes.
  6. Now, using a small amount of melted chocolate, “glue” on the shamrock and the yellow buckle to the hats. Let dry.
  7. Ready to enjoy or store in an airtight container!
