It’s the 5th of May! Cinco de Mayo. If you are looking for a fun way to celebrate with children and infuse some culture into the day, make a colorful Fiesta Sombrero and Maracas craft. You can even use it to serve chips and salsa. How fun!
Fiesta Time!
Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in the United States on May 5th as a celebration of Mexican – American culture. While not really observed in Mexico, there is some significance to the date. It commemorates the Mexican Army’s victory over the French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. In the U.S. we certainly enjoy chips and salsa whatever day they are served!
