Day 2 of the Winter Wonderland theme is: Snowman. The Build a Snowman visual arts activity focuses on the circle shape and involves fine motor skills – gluing, coloring, squeezing glue and sprinkling glitter.

Build a Snowman Art for Preschoolers

The kit included:

tissue paper
circle cutouts
blue background paper

We also used:

crayons
black paper (hat)
small sticks from our tree
glue
glitter

Another idea: paint with mixture of shaving cream and glue to create a snow texture.

playing in the cold.

Watch out for the sun they’re told.

But winter was long and they soon forget,

When the weather turned hot.

Dress the Snowman

Discuss what you should wear when it’s cold outside.
Invite children to look through a pile of seasonal clothing and play dress up.
