Generally, I don’t like to spend too much time styling food as there just isn’t time. But I think eating should be fun and I try to take the time occasionally. The kids love it when I make simple Egg Boat Snacks. Kids can also help make the snacks. Make Healthy Egg Boat Snacks for Your Kids
It’s a great way to serve hard-boiled eggs and fit in a little more protein. I serve them with more pretzel sticks or with Goldfish crackers and milk. You probably already have all the ingredients: Eggs, cheese slices and pretzel sticks. Small breadsticks would also work.
First, hard boil your eggs. My favorite way to quickly hard boil eggs are in my Instant Pot. The eggs come out easy to peel and nice and yellow. Kids will not eat an egg that looks greenish. I don’t blame them!
After the eggs are cooled, cut them in half. Cut a triangle shape from a slice of cheese.
I’ve used cheddar and swiss cheese for the boat sails, and I’d have to say swiss works better. Cheddar breaks a bit when you push the pretzel stick into the cheese, but you can make it work. Or you can press the cheese triangle into the pretzel stick to hold it. Then push the pretzel stick into the egg. All done! Kids remember these cute snacks and ask for them again and again. For those who are hesitant to try a hard-boiled egg, this might do the trick.

- Pretzel Sticks
- Hard boil the eggs.
- Cut eggs in half.
- Cut cheese slice into a triangle shape.
- Carefully push pretzel sticks through the cheese.
- Push the pretzel stick into the egg.
Hard boil eggs in your Instantpot. Swiss cheese holds up better to being threaded through the pretzel sticks. Another option is to press the cheese to the pretzel stick to make it stand up.
