This process art activity brings together two of my favorites – flowers and liquid watercolors. One of the greatest highlights of summer, for me, is my gardens. I cut zinnias, Echinacea, sunflowers, dill, day lilies, salvia and sedum to paint with. They each resulted in a different texture on the paper. We used slightly diluted liquid watercolors and cardstock. Watercolor paper would be ideal. We’ve also tried painting with silk flowers, which works quite well too.
