We’re just starting our Blast Off to Space preschool theme. Today was learned about the moon and made an “Eat the Moon Space Snack”.
Eat the Moon Space Snack is very easy to make. Children can even make their own. We used plain rice cakes (no salt), a thin layer of cream cheese and sliced bananas. We also added Cheerios, for little craters. Below is the recipe card provided from this month’s curriculum:

Most of my group enjoyed them! We haven’t had rice cakes in a long time so it was a new snack to some of them.
A great way to explore the surface of the moon! Make an Eat the Moon Space Snack for a yummy snack.
I received curriculum from Mother Goose Time for honest and authentic stories resulting from my daily experiences using the curriculum. I will continue to share my experiences throughout the 2014/15 school year. After using Mother Goose Time for about 10 years, I am pleased to promote quality educational learning experiences through play with Mother Goose Time!

Are there cheerios on here, too? I guess they are supposed to be moon rocks? Let me know please! Thanks!
