Looking for holiday process art activities? I hear you! There are lots of cute activities out there, but they’re not always child-made or process-oriented. Try stamping with spools to create a circle design on a wreath cut-out shape. Add a photo of the child with a Santa hat.

How to Make Holiday Photo Wreaths

We started out with circle shapes that I cut on my Cricut, but they certainly could be cut by hand or buy these pre-cut wreaths. Even a small paper plate would work.

I have this little Bucket ‘O Spools that I picked up at Goodwill or a garage sale we used to paint our wreaths. What a shame they are no longer made, but you can find them used online. Even though these are not around anymore, you could use anything round for stamping. Or buy some wood spools for awesome process art.

I added a little silver glitter paint to the green. Glitter makes everything better!

Supplies You’ll Need for These Holiday Photo Wreaths:

Circle cutouts (use a cutting machine, hand-cut, or small paper plates)
Green paint (and a little glitter if you’re feeling fancy!)
Wood spools for stamping (or other round object: corks, bottle caps, etc.)
Ribbon or bows
Photos (wallet size works perfectly)
Printed tags or markers to add the year

Then we just added bows and photos! At the last minute, I also put the “Happy Holidays” tags on them. It’s always nice to have a date on little projects like these.
