Our March theme is “Growing Gardens” using Experience Curriculum (formerly Mother Goose Time). I use a lot of the materials and activities but then add my own.
Day #1 includes learning about soil, color brown, and planting grass seeds.
I mixed a small amount of potting soil into our brown paint for texture. It really looks like mud!
We added the word “brown” for our gardening color book we’ll be creating this month.
Then we planted grass seeds in little cups. In two days, the grass sprouted. 
It’s time to cut the grass!
