O is for Ocean Printable
I like to include our alphabet letters in our creations if possible. I spotted these great ocean themed stickers at the Dollar Tree and had to get them! I knew we’d use them somehow and then I came up with this printable page to put them on. Kids love stickers. So this activity is not so much about the end result as in art, but building on the concept of O is for Ocean and what kind of creatures can be found in the ocean. Even though children don’t realize it, they are building small hand muscles needed for writing and work on hand-eye coordination. When children peel off stickers, you can really see them concentrate! They have great focus on the task at hand. If they become frustrated and discouraged, I help them peel the sticker off and put it on the edge of the table or the top of one of their hands. They are still peeling the sticker up and placing it, using both hands, and working on fine motor skills. This way each child can be successful until they are able to do it independently.
They created such a colorful ocean scene! Here’s the printable to create your own O is for ocean page.
